    Please take notice that due to the 8/28/2019 resignation of a Board of Education member, there is currently a new vacancy on the Oceanport Board of Education. The members of the Board will appoint an applicant to fill this seat through the 2021 Reorganization meeting. Interested members of the public are encouraged to apply by submitting your letter of interest to Valery Petrone,  Business Administrator / School Board Secretary, 29 Wolf Hill Avenue, Oceanport, NJ 07757, no later than Friday 10/04/2019 at 3:00pm.

    To be seated on the Board, the successful applicant must be a citizen of the United States, must have been a resident of Oceanport or Sea Bright for no less than one year, must be able to read and write English, must be registered to vote and not disqualified as a voter, and cannot currently hold office as mayor or a member of the governing body of Oceanport or Sea Bright, or hold other elective office in New Jersey.

    The Board will review letters of interest and interview candidates, and make an appointment within 65 days of the vacancy.
